SOUTH POLE VENTURE NORWEGIAN’S PLANS (Received April 12. ll a.in.) OSLO, April 11. The airman. Major Gran, who was a member of Scott’s 1910 expedition, is planning an attempt to reach the South Bole by motor cycle, accompanied by three companions, lie proposes to fly from Granite Bay in tho Ross Sea to tho plateau, and thence proceed by motoi cycles, each towing a sledge carrying provisions.
