48 HOURS IN TREE DIED FROM EXPOSURE SYDNEY', March 30. Trapped for 48 hours in the fork of a sapling only 12ft. down the face of a cliff at I.cura, hut with a 200 ft. fall beneath him, an aged man struggled desperately between life and death. Yesterday a sightseer found his body. He had evidently died from exhaustion and exposure. The victim, who was between JO and GO, was .suspected of having endeavored to remove every trace of his identity. The discoverer of tin 4 body was James Ruz/.acott, of Gipps street, Paddington, who was strolling along the cliff-top near Gordon Falls. Constable Liu tier, of Ecuin, and a civilian were lowered with ropes and hauled the body up.

Police believe that the dead man was a coalminer. His description is: Height about oft. loin., well-built, with thin grey hair, blue eyes, dean shaven, wore grey suit and tan shoes.
