The prospect of .stunting thrills attracted many people to the Makaraka racecourse this afternoon, when Capt. White in (lie Hawke's Bay and East Coast Aero Hull's Spartan plane was to
give an exhibition of aerobatics. I lie crowd was, kept ihrilled for some lime watching the various manoeuvres and stunts of the airman.
Messrs. Hutchinson, of Gisborne, and Absolom, of J’ukotapii, fishing in hitherto unexplored waters of the Waikato River from Mr. Donald Muni's motor boat caught, in one day 38 trout, all in excellent condition. Mr. Hunt is the, first to fish at this particular .stretch i,if the river, where there is some excellent sport to be had.—Taupe correspondent.

Suddenly a girl on a bicycle appeared in the haze, With great presence of mind ,the youth swerved, hut hys car hit a 6ff, hank, apd one of his arms was crushed. A jack had to be used before be could be extricated. Ho. is progressing very favorably in King George V Hospital The girl was saved from injury.
