LOKJbON WOOL SALES
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. has received the following cablegram from London under date 9tn inst. : “The wool sales closed firmly today. As compared with last sale's closing rates prices, are lower about par to 5 per cent, for merino medium quid inferior scoured crossbred lambs, lower about 5 per rent, to 7J per cent, for medium greasy 'crossbred, coarse crossbred slipe, line greasy crossbred, lower by about 71 per cent to 10 per cent lor medium crossbred slipe and line crossbred slipe, lower by about 5 per cent, for coarse greasy crossbred and merino super fine. I'be market is strong. The prices realised for average to super grades of descriptions were as follow : Merino, super 12j(i to 15d, average 9/,d to lid ; crossbred. 56/58's lUd to l4(j, 50/sS’s lid to 13d. 48/50's lOd to 11 Jd, 46/48’s 9sd to 10H, 44/46’s 9£d to lOd. 40'44's 9Jd to 10d, 36 40’s 9d to.9jd.”
