PAUL DEFEATS MORGAN (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. A professional welterweight contest between Ted Morgan (Wellington) lOst. 41b. and Jack Paul (Dunedin) lOst. 2-ijlb., went the full distance of 15 rounds, Paul winning on points. The result was a surprise. l’aul showed cleverness in blocking Morgan’s left. Morgan was knocked down in tho fourteenth,' being saved from a count by the gong. Tho crowd became so excited that they surged round tho ring. The decision was a popular one.
