Because the annual general meeting oj Hie .New South Wales Rugby League last night iimeded the discussion of general business, insufficient time was left tor lull consideration of correspondence in regard to the visit of a, team bom New Zealand and the Queensland dispute. Consequently the resolution to deter consideration was carried.
the Queensland League, however, has taken action not only in a direct report to the New Smith Wales League, hut also through the Board of Control. It has informed the board that it will not remodel its constitution at the behest of any body other than a majority of its affiliated organisations: that New South Wales proposes to recognise in the Brisbane League an unaflilialed bodv outside its own territory, an action which should he reported to the English League; and that it will proceed to assemble players under its jurisdiction in view of the representative matches this season.
The Queensland League is also of the opinion that negotiations should lie resumed immediately with the New Zealand League with a view to financing the proposed visit, trom a Dominion team.
A letter was read from Mr. W. Kuder. a member of the management committee of the Queensland Rugby League, protesting against, mis-statements in regard to 1 1 is attitude towards the present dispute. lie said he had always heen an opponent of New South Wales’ participation in the matter, was a staunch supporter of Mr. H. Sunderland, and asked that references to him in the report of the recent New South Wales delegation to Brisbane be deleted. Ihe letter was received.
