Fox, who is to be executed to-day, was jjot aware of the divorce action decided to-day. Ho is still maintaining liis innocence. “I shall die innocent,” he told his last ■visitor to-day. It was Fox’s own instructions that there should tic, no appeal. Jn a. letter In his solicitors he wrote : “1 had a. fair trial. If it is justice that 1 should die thou there, is nothing more to bo done. 1 accept a hard fate.” V last-minute petition for his reprieve from the Mission of Intercession was handed in at (he Home Office on the grounds of mental instability.
