FARMER DROWNED
BODY FOUND IN CREEK FATALITY AT MANUTUKE A tragic discovery was made by a daughter of Mr. Peter Muir, 44, at Mauutukc this morning, on going to look for her father when he did not come into the house for breakfast, Mr. Muir being found lying dead in a creek at the back of the house. Deceased, who was a married man, and leaves a widow and three daughters and one son, was a farmer by occupation, his (property being situated at Manutuke, on the Waingake road. He arose as usual this morning to milk the cows, but when he did not return for breakfast a search was made. Mr. Muir's body, fully clothed, was found lying in about 9in. of water in the creek' which runs behind the house, and it appeared that he had taken a heart attack and had fallen into the creek. Sincere sympathy will be extended to .Mrs. Muir and famify in their sudden bereavement.
