Ponsorihy (Labor) 20,277 Commander R 1. Money (Con.) 9,828 W. A. Lambert (Liberal) 6,612 Mr Ponsonby, Under-Secretary fbr tho Dominions, was Under-Secretary tor Foreign Affairs in the previous Labor Government. Originally a Liberal, he was private secretary to Sir H. Camp-bell-Bannerman from 1905 to 1908. _ He bad represented the Brightside division as Labor member since 1922.
