OBITUARY
FATHER O'HARE (Special to the Herald.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Catholic diocese, of Christchureli suffered a severe loss by the death of the Rev. Father O'iiai'c, which occurred last evening. Father Clin re/volunteered for work in New Zealand 22 years ago. and came here at tho invitation of the late Bishop Crimes. Since his arrival in '.Now Zealand he was stationed iit, the cathedral parish at Ashburton, md at Ahaura and Kuniara, on the West Coast, and also at Lincoln. For several years lie was chaplain at Mount Majrdala. He was appointed first resident priest of the new parish at Bcckonham two year.-, ago. He was a native o Belfast, and had reached his sixty-third year. He was a priest of wide culture, genial, and beloved by his parishioners. MR. M. S. RIDLEY (Special to the Herald.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The death occurred at Sydney tins week of Mr. Martin Stuart Ridley, aged 64 years, a one-time, resident of Christchureli, and a brother of the well-known cricketers, A. E. and Fi. 0. Ridley. He was born at Lydney, Gloucestershire, England, and with tho other members of his family came to New Zealand in 1881. Ho set up in business on the corner of Lichfield and Manchester streets as a tea merchant, but about 20 years ago went to Sydney lo follow his'line of business, and resided there tdl his death. MISS EVA MUNRO (Elbc. Tel. Copyright—United Prens Assn.) (Received Dec. 31, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 30. The death has occurred of Miss Eva Muiiro, aged 28 years, whom New Zeailandors visiting London will remember was in charge of mails at New Zealand House. She complained of pains in the head on December 27, and went home. She died from meningitis yesterday.
