WORK FOR PEACE
AWARD TO THE LEAGUE THE WILSON FOUNDATION (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received December 30, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Dee. 28. 'J'lie Woodrow Wilson Foundation, under a charter provision permitting its annual award of a prize for the promotion of peace to groups as well as individuals, announced that an award of £5003 has been offered to the League of Nations, "tor 10 years' service in the cause of world peace." The offer has been tentatively accepted by Sir Eric Drummond, but acceptance must bo ratified by the Council, which meets at Geneva in January. Officers of the Foundation hope that the money will be used for the construction of a bronze doorway honoring Mr. Wilson, to be placed at the main entrance of the secretarial building at Lake Geneva. Tho award will bo presented in February, and it is hoped that League officials will come here to accept the' gift, as the regulations of the foundation provide that the recipient must come to New York and receive the award.
