RESCUE OF CREW

A radio message received at Perth (W.A.) from the steamer Anthea, which hastened to the rescue of the burning steamer Stlton Hall, states that on Saturday at 8 a.m. she picked up an SOS stating: “On fire in No. 3 hold. Standing by in lifeboats. A lifeboat .with 17 of the crow was found near the vessel, and the men were all transferred safely in the heavy sea, and an hour later the other boat launched from the burning ship was picked up and its occupants rescued.
