CAR STRIKES POLE
MOTORISTS DISAPPEAR (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, last night. A motor-car collided with and brought down an electric light polo at the Normanby ear terminus shortly after 9 o’clock fo-night, and then struck a pole carrying an 1 overhead tram wire. The car was badly damaged by the collision and the wiring was slightly damaged by fire. The fire brigade was called out, and the blaze was speedily extinguished. When the brigade arrived the occupants of the car had disappeared, and no trace had. been found of them.
