The Appeal Court to-day concluded hearing the case of Frederick John Raynor, of Auckland, dental surgeon, against His Majesty the King, decision being reserved. 1 In January ,of this year Raynor filed a petition of right alleging that in October, 1923, he entered in agreement with the Commissioner of State Forests to give the latter an option over certain timber on land in the Tauri and Tutukau forests, Auckland, at a consideration of £3S,QCO; further, that this money was not paid when due.
