TAUPO LAND DEAL
COURT RESERVES DECISION (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. The Appeal Court to-day concluded hearing the case of Frederick John Raynor, of Auckland, dental surgeon, against His Majesty the King, decision being reserved. 1 In January ,of this year Raynor filed a petition of right alleging that in October, 1923, he entered in agreement with the Commissioner of State Forests to give the latter an option over certain timber on land in the Tauri and Tutukau forests, Auckland, at a consideration of £3S,QCO; further, that this money was not paid when due. Tho Crown then filecj a plea denying tho contract, and asserting that if the contract be proved Eavneivs title to tho land was not in order. *
