TE KARAKA WEDDING

GURRAN—MATHESON A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. John's Church, To Karaka, on Wednesday, September 4, when Lorna Margaret, second daughter oi ! Mr. and Mrs J. I). Matheson, of Waipaoa, was married to Albert A., eldest son of Mr. and the late Mrs A. Gurran, of To Karaka. The Rev. W. S. G. Cameron officiated, and Miss Seamens presided at the organ. The bride entered the church which had been prettily decorated by her friends, on the arm of her father, wearing a gown of ivory chenille georgette, fashioned with Hared skirt and caught: at the waist with a spray 'of orange blossoms. The customary i veil and orange blossoms were worn, and silver shoes and stockings_ completed her toilette. The bride carried a bouquet of arum lilies. The bride was attended by Misses J. Smith and B. Pirio as bridesmaids, wearing pink and blue crepe de chine respectively, with wide brimmed hats, and carrying pretty bouquets to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. G. Gurran as best man and Mr. L. Matheson as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Waikohu Hall,- where fully 100 guests sat down to the breakfast catered for by Mr. C. Mills. The mother of the bride welcomed I the guests in a frock of sapphire blue crepe de chine with fawn hat, shoes and stockings to tone. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a fox fur and to the bridesmaids rhinestone necklets. The happy couple later left for Wellington, where they will xpoml their honeymoon.
