100 YEARS OF AGE
WORLD'S OLDEST JOURNALIST Mr. John Gale, of the Age, Queanbeyan, N.S.W., who probably is the world's oldest journalist and who is certainly the oldest working journalist in the world, celebrates his 100th birthday to-day. ' Mr. Gale is not now actually, in harness. He .was stricken with blindness a few months ago, and had to give up the various journalistic and other work which kept him actively engaged; but as a few months scarcely count in a century it can be fairly said that this remarkable man worked as a journalist at the age of 100 years.
