BRITAIN'S DRINK BILL
SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTION (Australian Press Assii ,-United Service ' LONDON, April 15. According to the United Kingdom Alliance statistics, Britain's drink bill in 1928 totalled £228,000,000, representing £6 9s lOd per head, or a decrease of £10.600,000 compared with 1927, due to the 20 per cent, decline in Wine consumption,' and 7J per cent, decline in beer and spirits.
