A SALUTARY SENTENCE GAOL FOR SEDITIOUS LIBEL (Received Dec. 13, noon.) ADELAIDE, Dec 13. Edward Dickenson,.a laborer, was sentenced to imprisonment' for 'six months and fined £4O for seditious übel. He was also sentenced to'three months gaol and fined £IOO for having participated in a riot at the Criminal Court. The seditious -libel was contained in a pamphlet headed '•Direct, Action." This is the first prosecution of the kind in South Australia.
