MELBOURNE EXPLOSION
UNDERWORLD MYSTERY MELBOURNE, Juno 10. A man who was actively connected with several gangs who have in the past attempted to blowup houses was brought- to the detective office to-day and questioned as to his whereabouts when the house occupied ,by David Primer was blown up at North Melbourne yesterday morning. The Stall' Government, explosives expert, Air. Lewis, has been called in to assist the police in their investigation. There wore Lit) pairs of boots stored in the house at the time of the explosion. The contents of the dwelling were insured for £4OO. At least, four separate charges were ‘aid to blow up rite house, and Alt. Lewis lias warned (hose engaged in clearing away the debris not to use anything but their hands. There is the danger that there is still art artexploded charge in the wreckage. Detectives are considering the theory that the wrecking of the house was the result of a vendetta. They have another theory', which they will not at present make public. In an adjoining storeroom, it is aljfged, was round evidence of goods consigned to a member of the underworld gang.
