EFFECT OF I.MPEKIAL PREFER ENUE. SALISBURY, May 5. The official estimate of the Southern Rhodesia tobacco crop, which now covers 30,000 acres, is twelve to fifteen million pounds. Two years ago the area undertobaeco was 7000 acres and lasi year it was 13,000. The inctease is due |o Imperial preference. This year's crop is the finest grown in (he history of the colony.
