INTRUDER KNOCKED OUT
(Per Pross Association.) AUCKLAND. Ibis day. Norman Sclwyu Connelly. 37, was charged in the Auckland Police Court to-day with breaking and entering the residence of Hull Kinloek at Three Kings street and stealing goods valued at £4 17s. Kinloek discovered a man prowling about the house. He saw him dart behind a curtain, rushed at him and hit him with his fist. "We both struggled for (i time," Kinloek said to-day. "Then 1 got a good smack at him and knocked him clean out." With the help of his sisters he bound the intruder with a rope, and the police were sent for. Accused was; remanded until June 30.
