Yorkshire, in their first innings, made 81. Haig took seven wickets for 33, and Burston three for 27. In the second innings they scored 262 (Kilner 53); Lee took three for 2. Middlesex, in their first innings, made 178 (Lee S3>. Macaulay took live wickets for 47. In the second innings they lost four for 169 (Henclren not out 68). Middlesex won by six wickets.
Oxford in they- first innings made 226 (R. Butterworlh 110), and in the second lost four wickets for 287 and declared (A. Crawley 150, Cazalette (16), Surrey in their first innings scored .206 (Ducat 50, Jardiue 53), and in the second lost one for 21. The match was drawn owing to rain. Essex in their first innings made 260 (Russell 127, Claude Ashton 86). Utlcy took six wickets for 71. The second strike yielded 174 (Russell 60). Kennedy* took five for 57, Hampshire in their first innings made 218 (.Mead 79), and in the second 127. Nichols took nine wickets for 59. Essex won by 59 runs. Kent in their first innings made 441 (Chapman 200, Legge 301). Tyldesloy took five wickets for 94. The second innings yielded 239 for three wickets (Ashdown not out 86, Evans 143). Lancashire in their first innings compiled 320 (Hallows 82, Ekersley not out 73), and in the second lost two for 115 (Hallows not out 57). Kent won on the first innings. Playing for Gloucester against Northants Mills took five wickets for 41. Parker in the first innings took five wickets for 50, and in the second nine for 46. Gloucester won.
Playing for Sussex against Warwick Bowley made 176. Sussex won. Playing for Somerset against Derby White took eight wickets for 62. Derby- won.
Playing for Glamorgan against Worcester Mercer took six wickets for 49, and Ryan took five wickets for 42. For Worcester Root took five wickets for 43. Glamorgan won.
Playing for Leicester against Notts Astill made 121 not out. Playing for Notts Larwood took six wickets for 74. Notts won.
