Dunedin, was submitted at a meeting of the Macrae baths fund executive, held last evening. The proposal was warmly endorsed by the meeting. and will be put, into effect. It was reported that the campaigns of tlie four queen candidates were in fulL swing, and that tlie greatest enthusiasm had been manifested at- tlie functions already held. Further entertainments of a unique character are being arranged. To-night in Wesley Church, Bright street, the Rev Arthur Mitchell, of Tedding, will give an interesting story of the Fisk Jubilee singers, illustrating his story by over twenty quaint melodies, negro spirituals, and popular gems. Mr. Mitchell is one of the leading baritone singers of the Dominion, and lias taken thti solo parts in oratorios in all the leading cities. Commenting on his Fisk Jubilee evening of song and story, the Christchurch. Press described it as ; “a delightful evening;" and the X.Z. Herald, ‘‘not a dull moment,” while the Otago Times no I ic-e is. “a very unique programme.” A collection will be taken in aid of the Methodist HomiMission Fund. Puha, Te Karaka and What at lit u residents will enjoy the concert to be provided by Mr. \Y. MacUiure’s Sunshine artists to-morrow evening in the Pulia Hall. The dance and supper has been arranged by Mesdames 0. Morse and Wallen and, as they have gone to much trouble to provide a good evening, this part of the evening's entertainment should also be a success.
