Goodson on two charges under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1924, for registering tyres as pneumatic; which the authorities contended were solid' and; therefore requiring: a higher registration fee, reserved judgment was given by Mr. W. G. Kenrick, S.M. The tyres in question were Goodrich semi-pneumatic, containing a quantity of imprisoned air. , . The magistrate ruled'that itt the ah" senee of'a definition of-the word ".pneumatic " in the Act, the ordinary definition of the world must be accepted, and ho dismissed the information.
