■ LORD BYNG RETURNS NOT WRITING MEMOIRS (Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association.) (Received September 30, 3 p.m.) OTTAWA, September 29 A message from Quebec states that Lord 1-yng sailed for England to-day. Ho said: "All 1 want now is just to sit down. 1 have not sat down for 64 years, and will enjoy a rest." Asked if that portended the writing of his memoirs, he said : "The trouble is that when soldiers write their memoirs they always abuse someone. For ray part there isn't a soul in the world I want to abuse."
