PANGALOS ON TRIAL
HIGH TREASON ALLEGED ACTION AGAINST JUDGES (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.; (Received September 30, 3 p.m.) ATHENS, September 29. The prosecution of General Pangalos and other arrested Minister has commenced. They arc charged with promulgating a decree whereby three officers were hanged after Pangalos' coup. The Minister of .Tustjce has also applied for the committal of the judges who tried and condemned! the officers on the ground that it was judicial murder. The prosecution urged that Pangalos and his Ministers were guilty of high treason, as the regime had never been recognised constitutionally, inasmuch as Pangalos had .suppressed the means whereby it might be so recognised.
