FIRE IN MASTERTON.
BRIfiADEAMEN INJURED. A lire of unknown origin totally do>troved a five-roomed house in Roberts road Lansdowne. .shortly before midnight on Fiiday. The dwelling was owned and occupied by Mi'- Thomas Voyce. a Power Board employee. On the arrival of the brigade a fireman was detailed to sever the power transmission line, but before he could do it a supply wire broke away from tile corner of the house and fell on two firemen. Both were severely injured, though one. Fireman lait. was able later to go home. Fireman W. McLaren was rendered unconscious, and had to be removed to the hospital. He lay in a serious condition throughout the night, but to-day has recovered sufficietly to be pronounced out of danger, lie is severely burned about the body.
