Advices received in Karachi from Bushiro state that, the worst cyclonic storm in living memory in the Persian Gulf resulted in the loss of over one thousand lives, and the sinking of forty vessels. Bahrein was the most affected centre. A noth hi* message puts the loss at seven thousand lives. BASRA, Oet. 24. If is reported 7000 were drowned when 240 pearling dhows were caught in a cyclone hr the Persian Gulf.
