A. AND P. SHOW.

TO-MORItOW’B FUNCTION

BIG ATTENDANCE EXPECTED

It is anticipated that there will be a very big attendance at the Poverty Bay A. and P Show to-morrow and Wednesday. Numerous attractions arc being staged and there will be sufficient amusements to provide young and old alike with diversified entertainment. The jumping and other competition events will doubtless have the greatest appeal for the country folk, and in these there is exceptionally keen competition, it is interesting to note that the entries in the competitions are much larger than were the entries at the Hawke’s Bay Show last week. Another feature of special interest, to sheepfarmers is the dog trial which is being held at 10 a.m. to-morrow. Twelve of the finest dogs in the district, are competing in the trial, which will provide an excellent test of their capabilities. In addition to the local dogs others from the Bay of Plenty and Hawke’s Bay also will be seen in action. Other sections which will be judged to-morrow include dairy cattle, stud sheep, and some of the horse classes. The side shows and the trades exhibits are more numerous than previously.

The*'catering arrangements, which are in the hands of Mr C. L. Ferguson, will he all that can be desired, ample arrangements having been made for dealing with large crowds. Special train arrangements have been made on both lines for Wednesday, so that all country people will have the opportunity of being present. Tho Gisborne City Band will he in atendanoe at the Show on both days, and will render a programme of music. The committee confidently anticipate that the Show will constitute a record for the Asosciation.
