WeddeL’s Review gives interesting details of the growth of the Continental demand for frozen beef. It estimates that in 1924 t lie Continent imported ..GJO tons of meat, which is double the quantity imported in 1923 and four times the quantity imported in 1922. Italy took 125*000 tons, Germany 100,000, and Belgium and France each 95,000 tons. All countries imported chiefly beef, and very little mutton. The Argentine and Uruguay supplied 76 per cent, ol imports during 1924.
