STORY OF A CHEQUE.
SWALLOWED WHEN SIGNATURE WAS QUESTIONED. SYDNEY, June 16. During the busy banking hours on Saturday a man presented ti cheque at a Sydney bank. A question was raised regarding the signature, and the man snatched the cheque from the banker’s hand, .rolled it- into a ball, and swallowed it. The police were summoned ail'd a strong emetic administered to the man, who was detained. •
