OVERCROWDED HOSPITAL.
(Received June 17, 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, June 17. Owing to lack of accommodation the victims of accidents in urgent need of attention had to be refused admittance at Melbourne Hospital on Saturday night. A large number were admitted during the day suffering irom fractured limbs and other injuries, the floor space having to be continually used to accommodate patients. By 10 o’clock the superintendent issued orders that it was impossible to receive any more male surgical cases.
