BANDITS IN MELBOURNE.

Melbourne Hospital owing to its overcrowded .state was a man with a fractured skull. A private party composed 1 of seven men were playing cards and amasitiir themselves in venous ways on Sunday” night, when four masked, men, armed with revolvers, entered the room and ordered all to pat their hands up. Then they searched the persons and premises, seized money, jewellery and watches valued at over £2OO, and' escaped in a motor car. The police arrived a few minutes later. Up to the present there have been no arrests.
The bandits missed a valuable diamond ring which the owner managed to drop down the back of bis neck. Another stuffed £IOO in large notes into bis mouth and saved them.
