CAPTURES BY BANDITS.
AN AMERICAN PROTEST.
(Renter's Telegram.) PEKIN, Dec. 31. The Ameaican Legation protested to the Government regarding the recent capture by bandits of an American lady missionary at Tsaoyong, and demanded that tho Goverment take immediate. steps to secure her release. Protection for other Americans in that locality was also demanded.
