MATAWHERO STOCK SALE.

MATAWIIERO STOCK SALE. There was a fair attendance at the weekly stock sale of the Poverty Bay Stockbrokers' Association at Matawhero to-day. There were fair yardings in all sections, and tho bidding tor good lines was keen. The entry of fat sheep was not large, comprising mainly ewes, 'which sold at much better prices than at last sale. One line of extra prime Lincoln owes. brought from 2(is to 27s 2d. There was a fair yarding of fat cattle, which consisted mostly of cows. The bulk of the cow.s sold at a satisfactory figure, from £3 2s 6d to £-1 2s Gd. A good yarding and fair competition characterised the entry of pigs. An increase on last week's prices "was the result. There was a good yarning of storo sheep, and the market generally showed an improved tone. Good quality lines were well sought after, and prices for good stuff improved considerably on last week. There were no storo cattlo entered, and only a few dairy cows. There was nothing exceptional in the quality, and only a few sales were effected.
