RIOTING IN INDIA.
DELHI, Feb. 24. ’ The trouble at Nagpur was the outcome of non-co-operators’ activities. Crowds stoned the'nolice When trying to dispel them with drawn* sworns. Many were injured in the -melee. The mob raided and demolished a number of liquor stores. Troops are guarding the civil population, and reinforcements are arriving. A meeting of European and Indian railwaymeh at Allahabad declared in favor of a strike on Monday unless their demands -were granted and a committee of inquiry appointed. The situation at Tonk is still unsettled. More arrests have been made. An official inquiry is proceeding as to the cause of tile trouble.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
