Mr. Lloyd George wrote regretting that owing to his health he was unable to preside at a banquet. Lord MiLner agreed to preside. Ihe banquet has been fixed for June. An- -influential committee , was. appointed, including! Viscount Harcourt, Lords Northcliffe, Burnham, Beyerbrpqk, Inchcape and Carmichael and the Lord Mayor and Councillors.
