NEW PHASE IN NAVAL WARFARE RIVAL SUBMARINES ENGAGED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) STOCKHOLM, July 24. Firing has been heard north of Gothland. Five or six large German submarines m the Gulf of Bothnia have been trackin.*; and engaging Russian submarines, ; romping a new phase of naval warfare LONDON, July 24. German submarines have sunk the Swediar sailer Jun Mida and the Norweg'.Ki vessel Bams, and damaged a Danish vessel.
