AUSTRIANS' MOCK TRIAL ON DEAD PATRIOT.
FURIOUS INDIGNATION IN ITALY (The Times.) (Received July 20, 9 a.m.) ROME, July 19. Signor Battisti, Deputy for Trent ir the Austrian Parliament, was seriously wounded whilst fighting as an Italian officer. He committed suicide rather than fall into Austrian hands. lhe Austrians held a mock treason trial ov< •■ the body and hanged it. There is furious indignation and a demand for reprisals is general -' throughout Italy.
