CAPTURE Of PORT BUCHES.
TRIUMPH OF FRENCH GALLANTRY. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received Ju!y 20; 11.20 a.m.) • PARIS, July 19. A lucky French ruse captured Biaches Fort on the 9th. So well concealed aiul protected was it that a bombardment failed to destroy the works. A German company held out Ifor twenty-four hours, and then, a sub -lieutenant and eight men found a vulnerable spot and entered tho fort unseen. Tlie officer and a man rushed forward, throwing grenades and shouting, "Charge bayonets." One hundred and thirteen Germans came out of their shelter without resisting. Six other French sprang forward with great fury and utterly deceived the enemy, who flung down their arms. Biacht-.-Fort was captured without the loss of .-» Frenchman. ' :
