He says: 1 have not reached this conclusion lightly, but. I cannot put my opinion against that of Lord Kitchener TV-re ,is only one task for us all— to win the war. Mr Asquith informed the Mirers' Federation deputation that Cabinet did not intend to apply industrial compulsion. He promised to re-draft the Compulsion Bill, if necessary, to remove any lingering suspicions.
