(Received January 24, 8.5 a.m.)/ PETROGRAD, January 23. A communique states: The precipitate Turkish, retreat m the Tortum region continues. Cossacks charged the rearguard near Erzeroum Forts, sabring several hundred. Artillery had begun to bombard the forts.
