AUCKLAND, 'Iast night. Mr Laidlaw estimates the damage by the fire at Messrs Laidlaw, Leeds and Co's at between £25,000 and £30,000. The stock, a great portion of which was a total loss, was insured for £34,000 in the North British and Mercantile offices. The building, which was. owned by Mrs Robertson, was insured in the Commercial Union office for £BCOO.
