(Per Press Association.) J AUCKLAND, this day. i Later. — At the Waimna enquiry > Robinson, captain of the Wairuna, stat- - ed that he did not ask any of the offii cers to write out a statement of the : occurrence. Captain Atwood, assistant marine superintendent, stated that the Moonah was a strongly built ketch. He > had passed the lights and the position in the rigging. He thought it absolutely impossible that the damage could have been sustained by the ketch driftins: ■ up with the tido across the Wairuna's bows. David Gouk, shipbuilder, said the gash extended 22 feet from tho port side to within five feet of the starboard. It was impossible for it to have beer, made by the vessels drifting together.
