(Received April 16, 8.50 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 15/ _By a fire at Elmdorp stud,' Lexington, Kentucky, 32 thoroughbred broodmares, including Toque, Rubio' half-sister, and 11 foals perished. OAMARU, this day. . A fire was discovered j'n the lower storey of A. and D. Simpson's furniture warehouse last evening at 7.20. It was extinguished only after the place had been flooded with water.
