THE DRURY CASE.

AUCKLAND, last night.
A public meeting was held -at Drury on Saturday evening to further consider the case .of Mr W- Dixon. Mr J. Flanagan was. in the chair.. It was resolved that.a public petition be circulated for signatures, and that a deputation df residents wait upon the Minister for Justice to place the facts of the case before him. The meeting was largely attended, some of those present having come in from a considerable. distance. Six of the gentlemen present were chosen to form the deputation to wait on the Minister. A great amount of interest was taken in the'edsc, and "opinions were freely expressed. ;-X
