REDUCTIONS IN FREIGHT.

WELLINGTON, last night
It is announced by the four steam shipping companies, viz., the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company, the New Zealand Shipping Company, the 'Tyser Line, and the New Zealand and African Company, in the trade between New Zealand and^ England that a reduction will be iniade' in the freight to the Old Countiy. The alteration dates from to-day, and is to hold good un^il the 30th September next. The reductions are as follows : Wool and skins- £d per lb, hemp and tow 10s per tou weight, and tallow and pelts 5s per ton weight. ■
