9 (Per Press Association.) Auckland, to-day. John Salt, a gum sorter, of Kawenia, was killed by falling from his horse. Mr Ryan, a settler at Kaitara, was gored by a bull. His thigh was badly broken, and the horn also entered his neck below the ear. He was found under a tree, after lying out all night. New Plymouth, to-day. John Copestake, aged 71, hanged himself yesterday. He had appeared in good spirits all day. Ho was formerly a soldier.
