TRANSVAAL GOVERNMENT WANTS RHODES PUNISHED.

Capetown, June 19. Dr Ledys, the Transvaal Secretary ol State, has cabled to the British Government to the effect that the welfare and peace of South Africa requires that Mr Cecil Rhodes should be brought to trial for the part he has taken in connection with the ieceutj disturbance. He adds that the best proofs are in possession of Mr Chamberlain, which justify and.should compel him to take aotion.
