THE NEW JUDGE.
MR W. B. EDWARDS APPOINTED. [Fkoji quit Parliamentary Reporter.] Wellington, to-day. The New Zealand Times says it is practically settled that ex-Judge W. B. Edwards of Wellington, is to receive the vacant judgeship. Ministers state that the appointment is not yet settled, but it will probably be announced before Tuesday. Later.— Mr VV. B. Edwards' appointment to the Supremo Court Bench, vice late Hon. Sir Patrick Buckley, iq coufirmed. It is also a fact that District Judge Ward was offered and refused the vacant position.
